Terrible experience ever since they introduced ads. It has been getting worse now that they added them on the pause menu as well as throughout the watching experience. 2 minutes unskippable ads while paying the full prime membership is unacceptable. They should have introduced a cheaper tier if they wanted it ad-based. I have gone to the point I rather watch anything else than use this app. AppleTV is much better

As MANY others have reported here, this app just refuses to work on Android TV. I have a brand new Sony TV that runs on Android TV, and the Prime Video app opens (very slowly, by the way), and lets you browse the menus, but it doesn't play any content, and then gives you a random error message, non-descriptive, and useless, that changes every time. The only way to make it work is to uninstall all updates and use the old version that came with the TV. And then the app gets updated and fails again. Awful, completely useless app! Every other streaming app works fine on Android TV (Netflix, Hulu, AMC, Peacock, etc.), so the problem is only with Prime Video.

I would like to like the app but I don't. it obviously has a memory leak and it will eventually start making your entire Android TV go crazy. The app itself is difficult to deal with. Amazon needs to have their developers learn how to handle and manipulate video and a UI that is user-friendly instead of hostile. trying to rewind is like trying to dress a mouse. Even with the best best bandwidth and connection video is laggy when you try to skip forward or rewind. content and everything else
