About this app

Learn at your own pace from anywhere!

Primer is an educational app that includes lessons to help you learn about hundreds of important topics.

Primer uses an advanced adaptive learning algorithm to quickly identify your current knowledge and recommend new topics to study. After an initial assessment, you will be given lessons on useful topics that build on what you already know.

* Learn from anywhere in almost any language.
* Choose a curriculum for the subject you are most interested in studying.
* Adaptive learning decides when you are ready to move on to a new topic.
* Primer automatically reviews past topics to improve your long-term memory.
* Search from a library that covers hundreds of topics.

Primer is great for students just starting out, as well as adult learners who want to refresh their knowledge on specific topics.

Primer requires a subscription that can be purchased within the app. If you need financial support, you can apply for a scholarship in the app which will grant free access. We are committed to making learning accessible to everyone and your paid subscription directly contributes to scholarship access for others.

Note: This app is maintained by a small but dedicated international team. Please share your feedback and we will work hard to improve the app in future updates.

I enjoy that the lessons are short, so it's good for a bit of learning during my break time. Some have complained about the specific topics being locked, but I've found it easy to get enough coins (you earn a coin for every short lesson you complete). I only hope that the history one I unlocked stays unlocked for me after my trial of premium 😅. I agree that the large font is a bit distracting, but my main problem is that I will encounter questions whose answers are not in the lesson.

Thank you for your feedback! We're glad to hear that you find the short lessons helpful and that you've been able to earn tokens easily. Thanks for the suggestion about the font size!

In the free version, you are only given access to K-12 educational courses. This material is too basic and multiple choice questions often too simplistic ( one question was "yellow and blue make which color?"). Instead, give us free access to one difficult subject matter of our choosing, such as physics or programming languages, and then to let us decided if the course rmaterial and quizzes are worth paying for premium. Otherwise seems like an app with potential. Thanks.

I don't like it. For one the font in learning is very large with no option to adjust, which increases cognitive load as constant scrolling is needed. Also the "learning" is just a dense summary of the topic, text only, then a bunch of multiple choice questions. Some of the questions are not covered at all in the content, many others have obvious "serious" and "joke" solutions. There's a lack of diagrams or formatting. Just don't think it's a good way to learn things.
