About this app

You can use the Vy app to quickly find departures for journeys by train, bus, metro, tram and boat across Norway. You can buy tickets from Vy and other transport companies such as Go-Ahead, SJ, Ruter, Kolumbus, Skyss and Brakar. It should always be easy to make the eco-friendly choice when travelling, so the Vy app also lets you:

· See relevant suggested itineraries in the journey planner – including how long it takes to walk or bike
· Get real-time information on all departures
· Receive push notifications about delays and cancellations affecting your journey
· View your tickets and present your ticket for inspection
· Check how full each carriage on your train is
· Save your favourite routes and places that you frequently visit
· Book taxis across much of the country
· Listen to audiobooks and podcasts, and read newspapers and magazines

Thank you for travelling by public transport. Every journey counts!

Not very good. First off, I am aparently a robot for typing to fast and the app keeps blocking me. You cannot buy a return ticket in one go, you need to buy them separately. You cannot buy a week ticket. There's a 10 one way ticket package that costs as much as the monthly ticket. It's quite disappointing to say the least.

Hi, and thanks for the feedback. You don't say anything about where you are traveling and how (bus/train). We do offer several of the things you mention though. May we ask you to send us a DM in social media next time? And we'll help!

The app crashed on my phone and had to reinstall. I had to transfer my ticket to the same device i reinstalled the app on. I understand why my period ticket is locked to a device however the app informed me that I could only transfer it up to 2 more times. No other ticket apps in Norway give this limitation, there is no reason this should be the case with VY. They are supposed to provide a service that is paid for. I rely on the trains for my commute. I expect stability from the trains.

Terrible app, especially compared to other apps for public entities in Norway. The numbers are too small and awkward to select when you're selecting a departure or arrival time. Real time departures from specific stations are hard to find and for some reason include local buses operated by Ruter. Anyone in their right mind planning a trip with Ruter would use their much better app. Skjerpings, Vy!

Hi and thanks for your feedback. We checked and the picker for time and date is exactly the same in both our and Ruter's app. It's the standard picker offered in the operating system. Local buses are there for the many commuters that use both buses, trains, trams and subway when traveling in and around Oslo.

What's new

We’ve squashed some bugs and tightened the bolts – the app is ready for new adventures! Thanks to feedback from our beloved hardcore commuters, we’ve also made it easier to reserve seats through the season ticket.
