About this app

Take control of your internet with the Firefox browser.

Whether you’re looking for an incognito browser, want to use a private search engine, or just need a reliable and fast web browser, Firefox delivers speed, security, and simplicity every time.

✔ A FAST, PRIVATE BROWSER
• Automatic tracker blocking — Firefox blocks trackers and scripts by default, including social media trackers, cross-site cookie trackers, crypto-miners and fingerprinters.
• Enhanced tracking protection — Select the "strict" setting for even more privacy when browsing in incognito mode, complete with an ad blocker.
• Customisable search engine — Set your preferred private search engine as the default for seamless browsing.
• Ad blocker extensions — Pick your favourite ad blocker extension to block unwanted ads and pop-ups.
• Private browsing mode — Browse in a private tab; your history is automatically cleared from your device when you close Firefox.

✔ EASY-TO-USE TABS
• Quickly find what you need using your search engine — open as many tabs as needed without losing track.
• View your open tabs as thumbnails or in a list.
• Access tabs from your mobile on your desktop browser and vice versa by syncing with your Mozilla account.

✔ PASSWORD MANAGEMENT
• Sign in easily — Firefox saves your passwords across devices when synced to your Mozilla account.
• Get password suggestions for new logins, stored securely.

✔ FAST BROWSING EXPERIENCE
• Enhanced Tracking Protection automatically blocks ad trackers that slow down your search results.

✔ TAILORED SEARCH OPTIONS
• Get suggestions and previously searched results directly in the search bar to access your favourite sites faster.
• Move the search bar from top to bottom for easier one-handed use.
• Use the Firefox search widget to browse the web right from your home screen.
• See your recent searches across devices for uninterrupted searching on mobile, desktop and more.
• Turn on private mode to use your preferred private search engine without worry.

✔ CUSTOMISE YOUR FIREFOX EXPERIENCE
• Add useful extensions like ad blockers, privacy enhancers and more with this private browser.

✔ FIREFOX HOME SCREEN
• Quickly access your top sites, recent bookmarks, and trending articles curated by Pocket, which is part of Mozilla.

✔ SAVE BATTERY WITH DARK MODE
Switch to dark mode anytime on your private browser to reduce eye strain and conserve battery life.

✔ WATCH VIDEOS WHILE MULTITASKING
Pop videos out from their pages and pin them on top of your screen while browsing or using other apps.

✔ SHARE IN A FEW TAPS
• Share web links or specific page items easily with your most used apps.
• Enjoy secure sharing—whether in incognito mode or regular browsing.

Your browser is still prompting me to open things in an app despite having adjusted all obvious settings to deny this behavior. I will never be using this app again unless all requests to open links in an app can be blocked in some way. Reddit and IMDB are the two most prominent culprits that will absolutely not stop despite all settings blocking it. Please assist, or I will delete this app and continue to post negative reviews across all platforms available to me. This has to stop.

It sounds like Firefox for Android didn't honor the setting to not open links in apps installed on your device. Please take a minute to post this report and any other helpful details in our forum so we can investigate: https://mzl.la/AndroidSupport

Incredible. 5,000 stars. The browser might be terrible, I don't know. I use it for 1 reason, watching everyone's favorite video streaming site. The same site that recently decided ads every 4 or 5 minutes was acceptable. Firefox resolves this issue perfectly. If Firefox was a person, I'd strongly consider divorcing my wife and marrying it. Download it and rejoice.

This is the only mobile browser to support some of the most-used plugins, but what it desperately needs is bookmark reorganization without needing to sync to other devices. I don't want the same bookmarks on my phone as my PC. I also find that, on rare occasions, during updates, my bookmarks will get scrambled into a random order. It's concerning that none of this was addressed and that a feedback link I was given as a response to my review here was one that doesn't work.
