I want to love this app, and to be fair, there's a lot to like. Offline maps, accurate traffic, good directions. A couple of things that are bugging me to no end though: there's absolutely no way to have the map be in the direction of travel on Android Auto screen when no destination is selected and no way to get rid of the search box in full screen view on Android Auto either. With those 2 issues fixed, this app would be 5*!

Beta seems to work just as well as the stable version, no lags or bugs. I use both so I can potentially snag features before they reach stable. Info syncs between the two as long as you're logged in, so no need to reenter favorite destinations and other things like that. I hope one day they add traffic lights and stop sign icons to the map. It's the only thing I still use Google Maps for.

Before I had Android Auto available through my car I used HERE and HEREWeGo apps exclusively. They were my favorites. I just learned about this beta a few days and today had a chance to give it a try. It still has the look and feel I remember, and I was glad to see that. It was the appearance that made it my favorite because it is clear and easy to read. However, I don't think it's ready for daily use the way I use navigation apps. Looking forward to seeing how it grows.
