I booked a flight and purchased cancellation insurance which clearly stated you could cancel for any reason and get a cash refund. I had to cancel the flight, and they wouldn't give me a refund. I opened a dispute with my credit card company, and during correspondence with Hopper, their customer service lied about our communications. I had screenshots of the conversations, as well as of their terms & conditions, but they still refused to honor it. Dishonest and deceptive company.

Buyer beware!!! Deceptive pricing. Today is the 2nd time I booked a flight through this app. they showed me a price and I got all the way to the end. the price was 220$. After I confirmed the payment, I was charged 317$. That's the 2nd time it's happened. when I called to complain, they told me the prices are "dynamic" and they" change from second to second". That's literally fraudulent business practices. I booked within the given window of 15 minutes. I only used 2 minutes. it's a scam.

I've used Hopper for flights without issue; they seem to be at their best with round trip flights through multiple carriers. Would NOT recommend for hotels: they never sent the hotel the reservation booked a month+ in advance (front desk noted this was a repeat issue), and once the issue was identified, their customer service not only gave bad info (i.e., credit card was charged when they claimed it would not be) but also made no attempt at compensation whatsoever for the room being unavailable.
